Join us for the fifth session of the 2024 monthly live-and-interactive storytelling series, brought to you by the KL Shakespeare Players, with the generous support of PJPAC. This August, we present an enchanting tale titled "A Bajau Folktale: Kanang & the Serimpak."
In the heart of Sabah, a young girl named Kanang stumbles upon a Serimpak—a traditional ceremonial headdress—hidden among her late mother’s belongings. This headdress holds the mystical power to summon spirits known as embo-embo, capable of performing various tasks for its owner. As Kanang grapples with her newfound discovery, her cunning stepmother seizes the Serimpak, setting off a chain of events that will test Kanang's courage and resilience.
