Marie Tseng
Founder
Marie is a professional with over three decades of experience specializing in cross-cultural facilitation and diverse team coaching. Her career has spanned three continents, and since 2001, she has been based in Kuala Lumpur, where she excels in enhancing collaboration across diverse cultures, working with teams from Asia, Europe, and the United States. Marie's passion for cultural understanding led her to serve on the Board of the World Institute of Action Learning since January 2022, where she continually develops frameworks for comprehending cultural biases, values, and work habits. She also assists clients in translating global corporate cultures into local contexts and constructing diversity roadmaps. In her spare time, Marie collaborates with museums and cultural institutions. With qualifications including a Master's in International Management and accreditations such as Intercultural Readiness Check Consultant, CACL Action Learning Coach, Belbin© Team Role Certified Facilitator, and more.
William Tseng
Founder
William is a seasoned leadership coach with a wealth of experience, specializing in mentoring senior leadership teams. His expertise extends to offering sharp analytical and strategic insights to help leaders navigate complex business opportunities and challenges. As the Co-founder and Director of Cultural Impact Sdn Bhd, William brings a wealth of knowledge from an 18-year career in the banking industry, including roles at prestigious institutions like Royal Bank of Scotland and ABN AMRO. He is well-connected in the financial sector across multiple countries and is celebrated for mentoring individuals who have gone on to achieve successful careers. Holding an MBA from the London Business School and a B.A from Fujien Catholic University in Taipei, William is fluent in Mandarin, English, French, and Taiwanese/Hokkien. Beyond his professional endeavors, he has a passion for researching Chinese antiques, particularly ceramics, and holds a private pilot license.
Ana Maria Maia Conçalves
Coach
Ana is an industry executive with a career spanning over 25 years, dedicated to developing global leaders. Her expertise covers various domains including interpersonal effectiveness, team dynamics, intercultural skills, and conflict management. Ana has served in multifaceted roles, including as a coach, consultant, facilitator, speaker, and negotiator, collaborating with professionals and teams. Her strengths lie in driving cultural change initiatives, leadership development, and optimizing team performance for Fortune 500 companies. Ana's impressive background includes board positions, legal proficiency in commercial negotiations, and non-governmental organization experience. Ana holds a Master's in Law from UAL University and a foundation in Positive Psychology from Penn University, in addition to certifications and accreditations such as ICF Certification (MCC), CCL 360, Hogan, MBTI, Firo-B, CDP, Civil and more.
Francis Jee
Coach
Francis is a professional with nearly 8 years of corporate experience, specializing in coaching and leadership development. His dynamic career spans various sectors, including hospitality, financial services, HR, and training and development. With international exposure in cities such as Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, and more, Francis has worked with prestigious clients like UNILEVER, Nestle, and Levi Strauss. With an academic background in Psychology and affiliations with organizations like the Malaysian Red Crescent Society and UNICEF-sponsored Youth National Unity Programme, Francis is a well-rounded individual who has also been recognized with awards like the Rotary Youth Merit Award for leadership and service. He has served as a past president of Hornbill City and Speakwell Toastmasters Club.
Dr. Asma Abdullah
Senior Consultant, Cultural Development
Dr. Asma Abdullah is a seasoned expert in human resource development, having spent over 22 years at ExxonMobil before retiring. As a "corporate anthropologist," she brings a unique perspective to cultural dynamics within organisations. Dr. Asma holds degrees in Anthropology, Sociology, Educational Technology, and Counseling Education, along with a doctorate from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. A prolific author, she has written extensively on corporate culture and women in management, and her books. Beyond writing, she is also the creator of "The 10 Pairs of Cultural Dimensions," a foundational tool in our Cultural Impact Scan, helping leaders and teams address intracultural and intercultural challenges in the workplace.
Josephine Mendoza
Admin & Program Coordinator
Josephine is the backbone of our day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our office with her exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. She manages key administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, coordinating communications, and maintaining company records. Alongside her administrative role, Josephine also supports our financial processes by handling invoices, tracking expenses, and assisting with basic bookkeeping. Her dedication and efficiency make her an essential member of the team, always ready to assist wherever needed.
Zafira Yong
Social Media & Communication Strategist
Zafira serves as the key point of contact for all Team Psychological Safety Programs, expertly managing both certification programs and external client relations. She also plays a vital role as the Client Liaison for Cultural Impact's diverse cultural programs, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. In addition, Zafira oversees the company’s branding efforts, including managing the newsletter, website, and LinkedIn presence, while also driving business development by exploring potential collaborations. With her versatile skill set, Zafira coordinates internal and external programs, consistently delivering successful outcomes and strengthening client relationships.
Dhivagari Krishanan
Strategic Initiatives Lead - Education & Research
Dhiva is a psychology graduate from the University of Nottingham and an emerging UX researcher, contributing her diverse expertise to Cultural Impact's educational initiatives. With a background in curating and delivering corporate workshops focused on performance and inclusive culture, she is now leading the development of a unique curriculum for upper secondary and pre-university students. This curriculum emphasises deep cultural understanding and global citizenship, addressing critical gaps in traditional education. Dhiva is also expanding her research on the Cultural Impact Scan (CIS), applying it within academic settings, while co-facilitating workshops and gamifying educational content through RIAPlay.
