How mindfulness contributes to leadership

The problem: Our client, a global company in the pharmaceutics industry, wanted to help its high-potential people to understand what could limit them on their road to fulfilment and how to overcome those limits; align their perspectives on what success could mean according to the company culture; be prepared to manage effectively more difficult market conditions and/or failure.

Our approach: We designed a very experiential custom one-day workshop around four goals: performance, clarity, resilience, harmony, and we showed how mindfulness could contribute to achieving those goals. For each of those themes, we alternated moments of sharing, group activities and individual reflections.

Key outcomes: this intervention triggered a change of mindset among participants regarding the adoption of mindfulness as a leadership skill – to use a change management terminology, they moved from pre-contemplation to contemplation.
